The american dream, translated into a vast desert, flat, scarred by a black line, the same road i am on, laid back on the backseat of a Chevrolet Nova.
I open my eyes just to see that the sun is setting and that this road never ends, anywhere. I pick up my polaroid and take a picture of the straight horizon, the driver’s mirror and the driver’s right eye that is reflected on it.
I take a sip of bourbon from the bottle that used to be full (used too) and fall to my side, trying to sleep again…
This desert never ends.
